We sometimes hear from customers after they have broken the fin tab (the thin part that you screw into).  There are a number of causes for this, with one constant: impact.  Fins do not magically break on their own.  Force needs to be exerted upon them in order for a break to occur.

PERFORMANCE TIP Hope you are having a great summer of paddling with your Cruiser SUP. Most Cruiser SUP boards come with removable side fins. These side fins are to increase the performance of your board when sup surfing. If you are not going to surf your board, we suggest you don’t use the side fins, as they create more drag and slow the board down.
